A big part of the inspiration in creating PET DECORATOR® is the belief that all living beings deserve a second chance. 

 

Tami Michaels has lived her life in support of vets and pets causes.  For years she has served on the USO Northwest Board, an organization she helped raise +$2M, and she led the effort to build Ft. Lewis and Shali USO Centers.  She has actively supported many other vet causes, such as Rally Point 6 and Helmets to Hard Hats.  

 

Naturally, PET DECORATOR® and its employees strongly believe in pet causes, including the Humane Society and PAWS. One of our favorites is Brigadoon and its Service to Service program, which benefits both Vets and pets.  Service to Service provides trained service dogs for veterans, children, adults with physical, developmental and behavioral health disabilities to promote a more independent and enriched life.  We fully support the Brigadoon program of training Vets in prison to train service dogs for Vets.  The program provides a purpose in life for Vets in prison, and creates certified trained service dogs for Vets, geared specifically towards the complex needs of veterans who may suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and/or mobility issues. Anyone who raised their hand for their country and lost their way deserves a second chance.
